Grisaille exhibition combines selected art and design objects from various time periods, countries and movements. The term “grisaille” is a type of painting executed entirely in shades of grey or of another neutral greyish colour. Monochroism makes possible to focus viewer`s attention on one personal thought or feeling that object causes, as well as to reveal the characteristics of its materiality. Works by Waqas Khan, Julian Charrière, Susan Derges, Yuri Kuper, Aydan Salahova, Vitaliy Pushnitsky, Beatrice Serre, Pierre Jeanneret, Jacques Quinet, ROOMS design and many others will be presented. The heterogeneity of the exposition gives a space for the subjective interpretation and perception. There are no pile of meanings and artificially constructed connections.
The gaze scans across the space without clinging to anything except harmonious combinations of shades, surfaces and materials. The company Simple - is the project partner.
